Summer Breeze

Period Ideas magazine have also featured our bunting this summer, here with a selection of sunny garden ideas...now we just need the sunshine to show its face !

Meanwhile we have sent out lots of our 'My Colours' bunting, most recently to RAF Cottesmore who want to decorate an aircraft hangar for a party: what better way to do this than with plenty of Union Jack bunting and 'My Colours' bunting in forces blues. Enjoy your party, guys, you deserve it.

Bells & Tassels Bunting

We have had plenty of interest in our lovely jingly Bells and Tassels bunting since it appeared both in Saga magazine and Easy Living this month! We just love making up this bunting: our friends at the women's charity in India make up the flags for us, and we sew them together and package them up here in Hampshire whilst they jingle merrily. Even the postman asked us what was in these jingly packages!

We have just ordered some of these lovely flags in ivory and white to make some simply gorgeous Wedding Bells bunting. Watch out for these on our website soon!

Innocent Village Fete

Did you know that Zigzag supplied bunting for Innocent drinks Village Fete? We made over mile of lovely cotton bunting with their logo, and some fabulous red cotton heart bunting for their Innocent Flirting Area. I am sure it must have worked wonders!

Merry Marquees

We have been very busy here at the Zigzag workshop this summer making lots of gorgeous bunting for wedding marquees. This is a sample of our single thickness cotton bunting in shades specifically chosen for the bride, giving a wonderful splash of colour to the marquee.

Winchester Wanderings

I grabbed a few minutes to walk around Winchester yesterday whilst stocking up on Laura Ashley fabrics for some Christening bunting, and enjoyed seeing my bunting on display in the shop window of John Lewis of Hungerford and Shoon.

The reflections make this one hard to see but in real life this stripy fabric worked really well. I love the way shops are using so much bunting this summer, and when it is made in fabric it gives a great effect.

Business to Business

We have been so busy I haven't had time to catch up with this blog, but it has been a wonderful summer for Zigzag. We have had a variety of commisions, from this sweet little bunting we made for Julie at Sockies for her Craft Fairs, to some printed bunting for Topshop and Somerfields using our new print facilities which allow us to print on fabric in small quantities.
